Reference

Bratislava Castle, Bratislava, Slovakia
– cellar corridor – mould removal, surface insulation

Problem:

The underground connecting corridor between Bratislava Castle and the building of National Council of Slovakia could not be used due to hygienic defects (fouling) on the walls and ceiling of the corridor caused by condensation of water vapour. The cause was hypothermic walls and atmospheric humidity in the corridor area, which could no longer be reduced by technical equipment.

Result after application:

After partial repairs – removal of mould and strengthening of the masonry base, ADITIZOL was applied to the surface of the walls and ceiling along the entire length of the corridor. As a result of the application of the coating, the surface temperature of the walls is increased, thus preventing condensation and subsequent mould formation.

The corridor is hygienically safe and usable for its purpose.
